What is Livewisely 2020? LiveWisely 2020 takes an amazingly simple approach that has been proven to empower people to change their behavioral pattern. By relying on their peers, social environment, lifestyle instincts and their knowledge level, people often become inactive and sedement. LiveWisely 2020 utilizes these same parameters to address their issues and relies on using todays technology to reach these groups. We offer support and education by way of interactive workshops, educational materials, personal coaching and peer-to-peer support to start, establish, sustain and/or improve their lifestyles. A key to LiveWisely 2020 is our peer-to-peer mentoring program and our lifestyle & behavioral workshop. As each member completes this workshop they will be reassessed - usually at three and six month intervals. top We are advocates for behavioral change. We educate local communities about the opportunity to improve kids lives with education and workshops; provide other services such as personal coaching for families; share knowledge with other organizations with similar focus and assist individuals in solving some of the life challenges they may face. LiveWisely 2020 clubs differ in size and reach from other organizations: some serve a few thousand members in their immediate area, while others serve hundreds of thousands of people through hundreds of branches covering large regions. LiveWisely 2020 was founded in 2007 by a Fitness Trainer and Personal Coach, the club focuses on the needs of its immediate community. top Yes. Anyone can become a member. During the transition from childhood to adulthood, kids and adolescents establish patterns of behavior and make lifestyle choices that affect both their current and future health. Adolescents and young adults are adversely affected by serious health and safety issues such as motor vehicle crashes, violence, substance use, and sexual behavior. They also struggle to adapt behaviors that could decrease their risk of developing chronic diseases in adulthood—behaviors such as eating nutritiously, engaging in physical activity, and choosing not to use tobacco. Environmental factors such as family, peer group, school, and community characteristics also contribute to the challenges that adolescents face. To have the most positive impact on adolescent health, LiveWisely 2020 clubs work adults and in a comprehensive approach.
